Location: This position will be based out of UPMC Williamsport. This position will have the potential to work from home 1 to 2 days per week. This position will require occasional travel (3%-5% of the time) to UPMC Wellsboro and UPMC Cole.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret Financial Data: Analyze and interpret complex financial transactions and events to support strategic decision-making.
- Mentorship: Provide functional advice and training to less experienced financial analysts and administrative staff.
- Data Analysis: Extract and define relevant financial information to assess past performance and forecast future financial outcomes.
- Advanced Reporting: Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis using data from various financial systems.
- Transaction Management: Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Cost Studies: Plan and conduct in-depth studies to determine the cost of business activities, and recommend budget adjustments and cost-saving measures.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field required.
- Minimum of three years of related work experience required.
- OR High School Diploma/GED and five years of related work experience.
- Microsoft Office spreadsheet application required, and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.
- Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- CPA/MBA preferred.
