What you'll be doing…

This Treasury Senior Manager role is within the Capital Markets Strategy and Execution team and will be primarily focused on supporting Verizon's unsecured debt and derivative portfolios, from developing strategies to their implementation.

  • Managing interest rate and currency risks associated with Verizon's fixed income portfolio.
  • Evaluating various hedging strategies and instruments to optimize interest expense and funding costs.
  • Analyzing hedging proposals and hedge accounting qualifications to minimize the impact of derivatives on earnings volatility.
  • Supporting fixed income portfolio, new debt issuance processes and the settlement of interest payments.
  • Providing month-end accounting support for all debt and derivative transactions.
  • Conducting fair value measurements of Verizon’s debt and derivatives for quarterly financial closings.
  • Maintaining SOX controls for specific unsecured debt and derivative processes.
  • Reviewing debt and derivatives disclosures for inclusion in Form 10-Q/10-K filings.
  • Providing Treasury expertise and support for all M&A transactions, including reviewing debt indentures and derivative transactions.
  • Participating in ad-hoc financing projects.
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvements and automation.
  • Collaborating effectively with internal teams (Accounting, FP\&A, Tax, and Legal) and external banking partners.

What we're looking for…

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Seven or more years of Treasury or related finance experience.
  • Experience with corporate finance and knowledge of financial markets, instruments and valuation methods.
  • Extensive experience with Treasury functions, Accounting principles, and Financial Statement Analysis.
  • Knowledge of hedge accounting.
  • Experience with Google Suite and MS Office Suite.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance.
  • CPA, CFA, CTP.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office Suite, advance modelling and Bloomberg terminal.

The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $103,000.00 - $180,000.00.
