As an Associate Product Designer, you will get experience working with a cross-disciplinary team within our Gig Experience team shipping real-world products to our gig workers around the nation. You will contribute directly to Shipt's consumer product strategy and define the future of our service. Additionally, you will also receive hands-on mentorship from your friendly teammates on topics ranging from design to career advice, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while raising the bar in design quality.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

  • 1+ years experience designing consumer web and/or mobile experiences.
  • Partner with product management and engineering to identify requirements, use cases, and user journeys for Shipt's products. Together you will own the success of your product.
  • Understand the vision for your product. Learn and apply what we value to your work.
  • Build relationships with peers across disciplines. Learn how different disciplines work together to build products.
  • Explore different ways to solve problems. Identify pros & cons, questions, and implications of each approach.
  • Illustrate and communicate design solutions across uses cases by creating process flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high fidelity mock-ups
  • Learn, understand, and use data collected from research, user testing, and market analysis to create truly user-centered designs
  • Learn how to use our design system and design with components. Deliver UI that follows our fundamentals.
  • Collaborate and reach out to others. Seek and provide constructive feedback.
  • Regularly present your work to stakeholders for review and feedback
  • Strong communication and presentation skills that allow you to communicate design ideas clearly and persuasively and influence peers
  • Experience in Figma

Work Arrangement

Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader. Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis. Employees will also be eligible to receive discretionary vacation for exempt team members, paid holidays throughout the calendar year and paid sick leave. Other compensation includes eligibility for an annual bonus and the potential for restricted stock units based on role.

Pay Range:

Metro Areas of Boston, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and New York City:

$83,300-$166,800

All other locations:

$73,900-$147,900

Please note that the salary range above is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
