Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a per diem Research Assistant for the department of Neuro & Cell Biology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Under the direction of the RWJMS Program Director, the incumbent will serve to complement and enhance teaching in Anatomy at RWJMS and SGS in Piscataway. Duties include assistance during all Anatomy and Histology lab sessions for the academic year. Upon request, the candidate will work on prosections and capture/label cadaver images or videos and assist with assessment question upload, exam proctoring, and administrative course duties.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Circulate in the lab to assist students with cadaver dissection and answer student questions.
  • Develop and present weekly lab reviews.
  • Assist with practical exam set up and reviews.
  • Proctor and grade exams.
  • Provide student review before remediation exams.
  • Answer student questions/run 1 office hour per week.
