As a full stack developer in Digital, working in the Digital Chapters team, you’ll be exposed to the some of the highest engineering standards in Santander and solving some of the most impactful problems for customer facing journeys within domains across the bank.

You’ll be working front-to-back on customer journeys in niche, truly agile teams, working closely with engineering experts defining standards across Digital, and with some of the highest rated customer journeys in Santander. (Edge Home, My Home Manager eg.) The teams are committed to innovation, having held hackathons, workshops and team days, as well as working closely with third parties to learn from.

What you’ll bring:

  • Extensive software engineering experience
  • Experienced with backend tooling such as Node.js and GraphQL
  • Experienced with frontend frameworks such as Angular or React
  • The ability to design and implement software infrastructure and core technologies

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Cybersecurity experience
  • AWS devops experience
  • Accessibility experience
  • Experience or exposure to using AI tools or technologies
  • Experience in tailoring content, sharing only relevant information
  • Great communication approaches when conducting dialogue
  • Experience of contributing towards opensource projects

What else you need to know:

  • This role is based in Milton Keynes.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).

A two stage interview process where one stage will be a technical interview and another stage will be a one-hour formal interview where we will ask both technical and competency-based questions.
