Gundersen Health System is seeking a Childcare Teacher to join our growing and thriving organization. This is your opportunity to provide both customer service and effective engagement to the children/families we serve while doing the work you love in the beautiful coulee region of La Crosse, Wisconsin.
What's Available:
- 40 hours a week
- Monday-Friday between 8:00am - 5:30pm
- Location: Onsite, Child Care Center
What you will do:
- Plan and implement daily developmentally appropriate programs for children.
- Maintain a safe and conducive environment for growth and development.
- Create tailored lesson plans and promote positive self-esteem.
- Communicate effectively with families and facilitate parent conferences.
- Ensure compliance with licensing rules and oversee co-teachers and volunteers.

What you need:
- High School Diploma or equivalency, along with two years of higher education or an equivalent combination of higher education and/or work experience as a childcare teacher in a licensed childcare center.
- If higher education is not in child development, course work will be required within 3 months of hire to include: “Introduction to the Child Care Profession”, “Skills and Strategies of the Childcare Teacher.”
- If working with infants: “Fundamentals of Infant and Toddler Care” course will also be required.
