Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • 2 years of experience with android application development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the android user interface and navigation concepts.
  • Knowledge of the android Software Development Kit (SDK) performance profiling tools and optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of embedded software development concepts and issues.

In this role, you will build and ship the Pixel Watch app, enabling end users to pair and configure their Pixel Watch devices. You will deliver a streamlined, smooth and delightful cross-device experience.

The Platforms and Ecosystems product area encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications). The products provide enterprises, and ultimately end users, the ability to utilize and manage their services at scale. We build innovative and compelling software products—from apps to TVs, from laptops to phones—that have an impact on people’s lives across the world.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, document, test, deploy, maintain and improve software working towards meeting the specific project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Practice, uphold and promote quality and reliability standards, respect clean code principles, implement unit and integration tests.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, implement and ship new features and products.
  • Collaborate with user experience specialists to design and build beautiful, accessible, and internationalized interfaces.
  • Comply with all company health and safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
