Description

This position is responsible for managing and maintaining data center infrastructure to ensure seamless operations and peak performance. This position is responsible for evaluating and designing optimal placement for all data center hardware, including initial implementation, upgrades and decommission of outdated equipment. Understand and manage electrical requirements, load balancing, and cooling systems to maintain efficiency and prevent hardware failures. They must provide operational oversight by providing guidance and supervision to external parties and conducting work with the data center, ensuring compliance with best practices and security protocols.

  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Perform daily inspections of critical infrastructure and data center grounds. Responsible for monitoring the power, cooling, and various other systems of a facility that operates 24/7/365.
  • Infrastructure Management: Partnering with Facilities management to manage HVAC, power systems, and other essential components that keep the data center running. Which includes UPS’s, Generators, Automatic Transfer Switch’s, Switchgear, Chillers, and Power Meters.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnosing and resolve hardware issues with cabling and power.
  • Electrical Backgr0und: Three plus years of experience in a commercial electrical environment, data center management, commercial HVAC or related field. Additional experience in commercial electrical environments, data center management, commercial HVAC or related field.
  • Capacity Planning: Managing system performance and ensuring sufficient resources for future growth.
  • Cabinet & Data Floor Management: Understand balancing power as well as environmental control and weight distribution on data center floors.
  • Strategic Communication: Keep management informed of significant developments occurring at the data center.
  • IT Service Management: monitor, resolve and update all assigned service tickets.
  • Expectation Management: Manage expectations of both managers and employees as well as agency partners.
  • Project Management: Lead and execute projects within the division.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
