As a Digital Marketing Content Manager I, you'll work on the content team concepting, storytelling and creating content around campaigns for H-E-B’s digital channels, including social and digital media and support ideating traditional marketing that support strategic H-E-B priorities. You'll also be tapped to surface trending insights that H-E-B can quickly act on to connect with our consumers.

What is the work?

Communications:

  • Writes / edits content for digital marketing campaigns across H-E-B’s social and digital media
  • Monitors H-E-B's digital presence; sifts for insights and trends; keeps pulse on the online sentiment of customers
  • Reviews submitted content for accuracy, completeness, and correctness
  • Establishes / ensures consistent voice and grammatical standards for each brand and campaign (e.g., H-E-B, Primo Picks)
  • Learns to work with H-E-B Partners and business units to proactively solicit details needed to create content that delivers on business goals
  • Supports / maintains content management strategy and workflow
  • Analyzes media metrics for content effectiveness; recommends adjustments to improve on business goals
  • Develops /maintains knowledge of social / digital platforms through insights, immersion, and regular interaction to create customer-first and channel-tailored content
  • Supports continuous digital innovation aimed at establishing H-E-B as a leader in digital marketing
  • Monitors competitive initiatives; stays current on digital marketing innovations; identifies opportunities for H-E-B
  • Adheres to stringent deadlines to ensure smooth flow of content projects through the department and allow for special projects, pre-work, and rush assignments

What is your background?

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, a related field, or comparable experience
  • 1+ years of experience related to digital marketing, editing, or journalism
  • Experience in advertising and / or brand copywriting (preferred)
  • Experience in search optimization strategies, content management systems (CMS), and HTML (preferred)

Do you have what it takes to be a fit as a Digital Mktg Content Manager at H-E-B?

  • Working knowledge of all digital platforms as storytelling vehicles and advertising capabilities
  • Working knowledge of online marketing techniques, email best practices, and CAN-SPAM compliance
  • Working knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) strategies, content management systems (CMS) and HTML
  • Relationship-building skills
  • Verbal / written business communication skills
  • PC skills, including MS Office applications
  • Ability to interact with customers and clearly present concepts
  • Ability to work through issues with a strong sense of ownership, drive, and urgency
  • Ability to evaluate and concept digital marketing solutions in the evolving landscape of digital media, including social, mobile, video, etc.
