Position Overview:

The Surgical Scheduling Manager is a working supervisor position overseeing the following clerical staff: prior authorization, surgical scheduling, medical records and referral authorizations. Ensures efficient and effective patient service, access and flow. Provides support for the professional team through positive customer service, patient scheduling, referrals and medical records. Works with the physicians, managers and staff to promote quality and cost effective daily operations. Establishes and maintains good interpersonal relationships with patient, their families, the public and co-workers. This position works collaboratively with all other staff to assist the patient and facilitate successful patient interaction with the Practice team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a physician office and/or medical related industry; to include, organizational and leadership skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in a medical related field.
  • Two (2) years of pervious or current supervisor experience, preferably in a physician office setting.
  • Demonstrated competence in stressful situations/seeks guidance when necessary.
  • Demonstrated competence with PC based computer programs/systems.
  • Demonstrated competence with interpersonal and intra professional relations.
  • Knowledge of Medent Electronic Medical Record Practice Management System.

Pay Range: $55,000-$70,000
