Job Summary:

Provides leadership, administration, and management of the activities and resources for an assigned information technology project of complex nature, ensuring all facets of the project management processes, as identified in the project management institute's project management body of knowledge, are addressed and that proper project management documentation is developed and maintained. Ensures information technology projects are completed within the defined scope, quality, time, and cost constraints. Leads and directs the work of others.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or applicable job-related field and six (6) years of IT Project Manager or IT Management related experience or equivalent combination of Project Manager or IT Management related education/experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and manages the day-to-day operational aspects of an information technology project and scope. Works with client to identify project objectives and to establish project parameters, budgets, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Develops project plans and cost projections and implements changes as appropriate; determines and allocates the level and mixture of resources and prioritizes tasks to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Ensures project activities are aligned with organizational objectives; ensures project outcomes equate to organizational success
  • Develops and integrates policies and procedures to meet project requirements. Ensures contracted products and services are in full compliance with contract requirements and that contracts are implemented effectively, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable processes, procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Conducts project meetings and maintains mutual interaction with project team members, project leaders, staff, vendors, and consultants. Identifies project and application dependencies and risks, ensuring mitigation/contingency plans are in place for identified risks in order to reduce the risk of failure and ensure success of project.
  • Informs senior management of key activities and makes periodic progress reports summarizing project status, risks, and required actions and associated timelines. Maintains and ensures accuracy of project documents and reports.
