Your Role: Driving excellence through technical expertise and innovation
The Quality Assurance/Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for project level monitoring, reporting and compliance of TSNA-TI’s Quality Management Plan. Compliance will entail the creation of monthly Quality Assurance reviews and Quality Control processes and measures aligned with both the corporate Quality Management Plan and contractual requirements as identified by the client. Reviews, measures and processes will ensure the delivery of consistent and continuously improved quality services by detecting and correcting failures, identifying and implementing best practices and procedures, and ongoing training and indoctrination of project staff and field personnel.
What You Will Do:
- Implement and maintain the requirements of the Contract Quality Assurance Plan.
- Carry out audits as required verifying compliance of the contract operations with the contract and the contract quality plan.
- Review existing documentation and prepare new process documentation as required to suit amended work practices and contract quality assurance requirements.
- Exercise the authority to act as the corporate quality representative in ensuring the establishment, implementation and maintenance of the Quality System.
- Comply with Risk Management, Quality Assurance and Health, Safety and Environmental management systems, including statutory obligations.
- Ensure that services provided are in compliance with approved performance standards.
- Participate in and promote the corporate Continuous Improvement program.
- Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities in process and systems.
- Produce Monthly Reports for the client within five working days.
- Produce the monthly audit report to enable the verification of the monthly invoice by the Project Manager.
- Assist the Project Manager by ensuring up-to-date copies of relevant documents are available at the workplace.
- Maintain Contract Quality Documentation files as required by the contract.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure correct understanding of QA documentation and ensure QA documentation, such as work checklist, test results and certification from subcontractors is collated and reviewed in accordance with the Contract Quality and Management Plan.
- Ensure persons completing project work have a clear understanding of the CQP requirements.
- Prepare high quality project reports as required. As a minimum this will include monthly performance reports and annual contract compliance reports.
- Assist the Project Manager in the development and implementation of field operations and staff management training and the identification of training requirements.
- Maintain an open, ongoing, and productive line of communication with the client’s contract manager.
Who You Are: A Profile of Success
- A Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Highway related work experience and experience in contract and sub-contract management preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (Required) to drive company vehicle.
- DOT certifications (Highly Desirable)
- Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
- Ability to multitask, use resources effectively and meet scheduled deadlines.
- Strong computer skills including working knowledge of HQMS Contract Management Systems, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook as well as familiarity with the Internet.
- Must practice safe work methods to remain accident free.
- Must have the ability to recognize hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury or accident.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to your job.
- QA/QC Coordinators are required to lead by example, encourage co-workers and supervised employees to correctly use PPE, follow proper safety rules of conduct and take appropriate corrective actions, including the initiation of disciplinary action to enforce the use and observance of PPE and safety rules within your area of supervised responsibility.
