Responsibilities

As an Event & Retention Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive event and retention strategy for Sony’s Consumer electronics products*. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring flawless completion of events and activities that drive customer engagement and dedication.

Events: Retail Partners, Training, Consumers

Prepare a six-month rolling national event plan, meticulously planning and completing events based on the requirements from the Product Marketing Team and Sales Team.

  • Coordinate retail partner events, focusing on training, including trade shows, training days, and customer exhibitions.
  • Manage briefings to agencies, product loans, and attend events to ensure everything runs efficiently.
  • Report quantitative results and qualitative assessments of events to propose improvement plans for future activities.

Events: Community Of Interest (COI) focusing on Digital Imaging

  • Plan and coordinate all COI events with the Photo Retailers Sales Team, Digital Imaging Marketing Team, and Training Team.
  • Facilitate all internal and external meetings related to these COI events.
  • Manage product loans and ambassadors' presence (when needed) for all COI events.

Event Visibility

  • Prepare all assets to optimize the visibility of events or at the events.
  • Adapt communication tools provided by Sony Europe to our local needs, mainly for brochures and print creatives.
  • Responsible for all print activities (magazines, displays, etc.) for the different product categories around the events.

Photo Ambassadors Program

  • Manage, with the help of the Pro Business Manager, the team of Pro Photo Ambassadors.
  • Coordinate the annual budget allocated to the Ambassadors Program and ensure its effective utilization.

Retention Activities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive retention strategy to drive customer engagement, build Sony fans, and increase customer lifetime value.
  • Collaborate with internal collaborators (Product Marketing, Sales, etc.) to develop and implement retention activities and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Analyze customer data to identify trends, preferences, and behaviors to inform retention activities.

Financials

  • Responsible for the annual budget related to events and its accurate management throughout the year.
  • Manage payments for activities related to events with our third-party partners and schedule them to build a reliable forecast of expenses.

Requirements

Experience

  • 5 years' higher education in a relevant subject area or equivalent vocational experience.
  • Proven experience in running events from planning to execution.
  • Experience in handling third-party agencies.
  • Experience in managing significant budgets, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Experience in brand or product communication.

Key Proficiencies

  • Strong focus on customers, both internal (delivering great activities within timeline and budget) and external (crafting plans and actions based on their needs).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Resilience to pressure and ability to handle responsibilities and deliverables in all situations.
  • Build relationships with local team, European HQ, and account, and present effectively with data.
  • Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.
