POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Inventory Supervisor to oversee and manage the inventory control systems within our organization. The ideal candidate will ensure that inventory levels are accurately maintained, stock is properly organized, and the company's inventory management processes run smoothly. This role requires a combination of strong analytical skills, leadership, and the ability to manage inventory across multiple departments or locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure products are readily available without overstocking or stockouts.
  • Oversee the receiving, storing, and distribution of goods.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Conduct regular physical counts of inventory and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Track and report on inventory metrics, including turnover rates, shrinkage, and stock levels.
  • Work closely with the purchasing department to forecast demand and adjust stock levels accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock movements, purchases, and sales using inventory management software.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and inventory management best practices.
  • Assist in the training and development of team members on inventory processes and procedures.
  • Analyze trends and recommend improvements to optimize inventory management systems.
  • Liaise with other departments, including sales, finance, and operations, to support company objectives.
  • Partner with supply chain planning and purchasing for SKU optimization.
  • Collaborate with quality and operations on customer claim investigations.
  • Provide feedback and improvement ideas to operations of findings through process and procedure audits.
  • Manage the returns process ensuring material is properly handled and paperwork is completed correctly.
  • Become a subject matter expert on inventory system (SAP) to help resolve issues and teach others.
  • When needed, lead a team of warehouse employees to ensure accurate and timely processing of orders, shipments, and returns.
  • Lead projects to improve our business and processes.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Certification in Inventory Management or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar tools for reporting and data analysis.
  • Technology Utilization – Implement and manage inventory management systems (ERP, WMS) to automate processes and improve efficiency.
  • Optimizing Storage and warehouse layouts to maximize storage efficiency and ensure products are easily accessible.
  • Experience with Lean, 6S, six-sigma, project management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory management, supply chain, or logistics.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management software and systems.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
