Are you a systems-savvy engineer with a passion for secure, high-stakes aerospace environments? PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineer to support advanced space systems testing at a major aerospace leader’s facility in El Segundo, CA.

This is a unique opportunity to play a hands-on role in deploying, hardening, and optimizing test systems that support mission-critical satellite and space infrastructure. You’ll be working in a dynamic, 24/7 environment—where your problem-solving skills and attention to detail directly impact aerospace security and launch success.

This position requires a security clearance, and candidates are required to be U.S. Citizens.

What You’ll Do

As part of the Space Systems Verification and Test team, your core responsibilities will include:

• Providing factory floor support across multiple aerospace programs
• Deploying test software and configurations for Special Test Equipment (STE)
• Troubleshooting system issues and documenting test setups
• Supporting shift-based operations with flexibility across 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts—including one weekend day
• Enhancing system architectures to meet product security and compliance requirements
• Automating and hardening Linux, Windows, and networked test systems
• Implementing agile methodologies to deliver security-focused improvements
• Supporting STE readiness for both factory and launch environments
• Managing secure configurations of tools, networks, and data storage platforms

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field
• CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Windows Server & Linux (RedHat, Oracle)
  • Cisco IOS
  • VMWare virtualization
  • Enterprise Storage Solutions
• Ability to support onsite, rotating shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and one weekend day weekly

Preferred Skills That Set You Apart

• ITIL 4 or CCNA certification
• Experience in satellite test operations and readiness
• Familiarity with payload and modular test executive platforms (PTEX, MTEX)
• Knowledge of cyber security and system hardening protocols
• Previous work with Automated Test Controller (ATC) systems

Pay Details: $46.30 to $64.83 per hour
