  • The Gleeds business in Africa has enjoyed much success and growth in recent years, and we are looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager with experience in managing and contributing to construction projects in one or more of the following sectors. [Hospitality, OR Top notch residential, OR Industrial Projects, OR shopping malls].
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
    • Positively engaging with Customers and developing, growing and maintaining Customer relationships.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring efficient collaboration.
    • Delivering high quality services and ensuring that project management deliverables meet Customers’ requirements.
    • Managing projects to deliver high quality services and deliverables in accordance with the business procedures.
    • Administrating contracts as Contract Administrator, Employer’s Agent or Project Manager.
    • Producing and presenting reports to Customers.
    • Mentoring and coaching employees to their full potential.
    • Identifying new business development opportunities and driving growth across the Business Units activities.
    • Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have risen, or might arise, on projects.

About You

  • The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate significant experience in leading project teams, in one or more of the targeted sectors, throughout the entire lifecycle of the project with demonstratable understanding of the relevant norms and standards of the targeted sector, stakeholders management, team leadership, and management of construction contracts.
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related fields; Post graduate degree is a plus.
    • 12+ years of proven experience in delivering project management services in major construction projects or frameworks.
    • Professional certifications and affiliations will be considered for different positions where it complements the role’s responsibilities.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English is a must.
    • Demonstratable leadership and problem-solving skills are mandatory to demonstrate.
