Job Details

Responsibilities of the Second Cook include:

  • Preparation of room service meals, vegetables, salads, and specialty items for patients, employee dining room and the Patio Cafe meals.
  • Cleaning and restocking work areas.

Requirements for the Second Cook role include:

  • Requires High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • ServSafe and DOH Food Handlers Certificates required. Expired certifications must be recertified within 6 months of employment.
  • 3 years' experience in institutional, restaurant, or food service setting with knowledge in quality food preparation, cooking techniques, presentation, and customer service.
  • Culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • Standing for long periods and lifting items up to 50 pounds

Salary Range

Starting from USD $26.00/Hr.

This rate serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate&rsquos qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
