What You Will Contribute:
The Senior Inside Sales Representative will support an identified group of customers, channel partners and internal stakeholders on Badger Meter’s Flow Instrumentation product lines. You will function as a problem solver and go-between, dedicated to ensuring seamless coordination of the customer, outside sales and customer care in the quick resolution of all customer needs.
As needed, works directly with colleagues in customer service and outside sales (including customer service representatives, sales engineers, technical sales managers, strategic account managers and technical sales managers) to ensure customers’ needs are being met.
Job Duties:
- Understand functionality and selling points of all products offered.
- Partner with key stakeholders in the escalation process of inquires within accounts as they arise.
- Respond to customer inquiries (e.g. lead submissions, requests for quote and other requirements) by telephone or e-mail.
- Analyze individual accounts, provides contract review, assist in solving customer problems, complete forms, maintain customer data in Salesforce, and obtain signatures and documentation when necessary.
- Perform various account management functions (developing pricing and quotes, entering/resolving customer issues, and maintaining accurate and current Account/Contact/Opportunity/Case data in SFDC).
- Take responsibility for geographic territory and is the primary contact for customers within this territory.
- Utilize software and other tools, assist customers into the most suitable product by providing sizing and other relevant technical data.
- Contribute to the retention of business through prompt professional and accurate responses to inquiries from customers and sales personnel.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the FI products, processes and systems assigned, the applications they are used in, and the industry segments overall.
- Own customer issues until a resolution is found (may require interaction with other disciplines within the company).
- Assist RSMs/channel partners in identifying and addressing sales opportunities, specifying products for applications, and preparing quotations/pricing to customers.
- Train and mentor junior staff.
Education and Experience:
- High School degree required; Bachelors degree in Business, Communications or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in customer service desired
Qualifications:
- Experience using CRM required
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office preferred
