We are seeking for a Head of Sales Excellence of Power Tools to join our team in Petaling Jaya to overlook our business in the ASEAN, Middle East & Africa (AA) region. The Head of Sales Excellence plays a strategic role in driving sales performance and operational efficiency across all areas of the sales organization. This role focuses on implementing best practices, enabling sales teams through tools and training, as well as optimizing sales processes to improve revenue, productivity, and customer experience in the competitive consumer durables landscape.

Your responsibilities will be:

  1. Sales Strategy Execution: Support the implementation of sales strategies and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  2. Process Optimization: Standardize and continuously improve sales processes to drive efficiency and scalability.
  3. Sales Performance Monitoring: Develop and manage KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards to track sales team performance.
  4. CRM Management: Drive adoption and optimization of CRM tools across the sales force.
  5. Sales Capability Building: Identify skill gaps and design training programs to enhance salesforce capabilities.
  6. Incentive & Compensation Design: Collaborate with HR and Finance to develop fair and motivating sales incentive structures.
  7. Territory and Quota Planning: Lead territory alignment and quota setting to ensure equitable distribution of opportunities.
  8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with Marketing, Product, and Supply Chain to align sales efforts with organizational goals.
  9. Best Practice Sharing: Identify and disseminate internal and external sales best practices across regions and channels.
  10. Change Management: Drive the adoption of new tools, processes, and behaviors within the sales organization.

Key Tasks:

  1. Analyze sales data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  2. Conduct regular business reviews with regional and channel heads to support performance management.
  3. Design and deliver training programs on sales techniques, tools, and product knowledge.
  4. Create and maintain a sales playbook to ensure consistency and alignment in sales execution.
  5. Support the rollout of digital tools and automation solutions for frontline sales teams.
  6. Develop and manage monthly sales forecasting models in coordination with demand planning.
  7. Monitor CRM usage and data accuracy, providing feedback and support to sales reps.
  8. Track the effectiveness of promotions, campaigns, and initiatives using relevant metrics.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you!

Qualification: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Sales and Marketing or its equivalent with 8+ years of professional experience in managing sales and country level business operations, ideally cross-culturally in a matrix organization.

Expertise and know-how: Regional exposure and sound knowledge of the market, ideally in the in the power tool industry. Strong numeric skill set, able to analyze data, understand trends & measure success of programs in order to optimize results.

Personality: Strong interpersonal and communication skills and be passionate on your role. Great leadership skills, self-motivated and passionate to lead in a multi-cultural environment.

Way of working: Strong Entrepreneurial mindset, with high future and result orientation, strategic thinking and ability to work self-directed. Ability to steer business operations in facing disruptive challenges in a VUCA business environment.

Language: Very good English both written and verbal.
