Dispatcher/Service Coordinator Summary
Location: Billerica, MA
Starting Salary: $28 -$30/hour
Hours: 6:00 am to 3:00pm Mon - Fri
This is a full time position
Responsibilities of the Dispatcher/Service Coordinator:
- Communicate transportation activities to ensure service and delivery goals
- Assess daily level of driver staffing to balance responsiveness and productivity
- Assigns routes and work orders to drivers throughout the day and for the next day
- Initiates communication to customers while drivers are on-site/location
- Resolve delivery, pickup, and service issues delaying the service process
- Troubleshoots and resolves potential delivery and pick-up problems before they result in service issues
- Keep Operations manager updated on issues, and resolution of issues
- Supports drivers with respect
Qualifications of the Dispatcher/Service Coordinator:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2 years’ experience in dispatching emergency services, logistics, waste or transportation field
- Good basic computer skills
