Responsibilities:

As the Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building from scratch our cloud-native capability, with a focus on optimizing for cost, enabling software developers to develop quickly, with a strong focus on automation and cloud-native cybersecurity practices.

Technical leadership and hands-on ability

• Set up the appropriate cloud infrastructure foundations
• Lead and mentor technical junior members of the team, enabling professional growth and learning

Cloud Infrastructure development

• Develop, build, and manage a self service common development platform to the rest of the company, including cloud platforms, and development tools and platforms.
• Define and establish a secure by design cloud platform with the necessary security policies.
• Build and establish guardrails and controls in place against security misconfiguration.
• Design and establish robust security monitoring and detection capabilities, and establish runbooks and playbooks when incidents occur.
• Define and establish best practices and processes for cost optimisation on the cloud platform.
• Establish and design end to end automation of infrastructure provisioning and application deployment on the cloud with practices including but not limited to infrastructure as code, and continuous integration and continuous deployment.
• Design and establish common application design and architecture that meets the security, cost optimisation, automation, and developer experience requirements.
