Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges—the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day? If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place.
You’ll be based in the Budapest office working with clients and the global Orchestro team.
Orchestro, is McKinsey’s proprietary SaaS platform that accelerates agility, simplifies planning, and enhances enterprise-wide transparency for clients. Orchestro already has 5,000+ users across 3 continents and has some impactful success cases. Orchestro typically creates value for clients by bringing efficiency, automation, and transparency into the QBR process saving clients up to 50% QBR preparation time; improving client’s OKR attainment (~20-30% improvement), and enhancing adoption of agile ways of working.
You will join a cross-functional squad that owns an end-to-end slice of Orchestro, McKinsey’s SaaS platform for enterprise agility, planning, and transparency. You will anchor high-impact initiatives that bridge product vision with technical execution. Partnering with stakeholders, you’ll prototype solution options, articulate trade-offs, and guide the team toward architectures built around bounded contexts and event-driven integrations.
Owning critical services, you’ll model exemplary testing, observability, and security practices while driving complex refactors that keep the platform scalable and maintainable. Your leadership will extend to post-incident reviews and automation of guardrails that safeguard continuous delivery.
By mentoring engineers of every level and sharing Orchestro learnings across McKinsey’s global tech community, you will elevate engineering standards well beyond your immediate squad.
This role will let you shape both the product roadmap and the technical strategy of a platform used by leading enterprises worldwide. You’ll collaborate with domain-driven-design and platform-engineering experts across McKinsey, continuously sharpening your craft.
Driving lasting impact and building long-term capabilities with our clients is not easy work. You are the kind of person who thrives in a high performance/high reward culture - doing hard things, picking yourself up when you stumble, and having the resilience to try another way forward.
In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities you need to become a stronger leader faster than you ever thought possible. Your colleagues—at all levels—will invest deeply in your development, just as much as they invest in delivering exceptional results for clients. Every day, you'll receive apprenticeship, coaching, and exposure that will accelerate your growth in ways you won’t find anywhere else.
