Your Impact

With a total ownership mindset for the ongoing health of the Global Banking practice, you will play a pivotal role which will stretch you across a range of ongoing and special projects that set you up for a path of professional growth and development.

Global client activation data maintenance and innovation:

You will maintain, our global client(ele) list. You will be our central point of contact with central Client Activation initiatives to ensure all of our client data is well integrated. You will lead practice client analytics globally, ensuring we understand and own the success of our client service across all subsectors and regions. You will also get involved in strategic client activation/acceleration projects, such as Acceleration discussion preparations and CST Dialogues

Global Senior Advisors program:

You will work with the global practice SA leader, the Senior Partner, the Firm-wide SA Program Manager, the Senior Advisor Service Line (SASL) and our group of ~50 SAs to ensure our program’s success

Global and sub-cell leadership operations:

You will help orchestrate practice leadership convening rhythms, such as bi-weekly global leaders and monthly all-regions leaders. Throughout the year, you will take on special and ad hoc projects as warranted, such as client development initiatives, client events, etc. You will work closely with Joy Long and practice leaders’ offices

Global administration:

You will support a small portfolio of administrative hygiene topics including mailing lists, leadership faces pages, practice announcements, etc.

Over time, you will also rotate responsibilities with your peers (annually) in order to gain a broad set of skills, experiences, and networks of colleagues which set you up for future growth.

Banking is one of the largest industry sectors in McKinsey. As a global leader in strategic consulting, the practice serves a broad spectrum of clients in the traditional and non-traditional financial industries. The practice is active in each of the major global Regions – North America, Latin America, Europe, EEMA, and Asia – where we serve a broad spectrum of clients in financial industries.

You will play a central part in the Global Banking Client Activation Management team, partnering with a geographically diverse set of colleagues across a wide range of disciplines.

You will also work closely with our broader global CAM team members, as well as the client capabilities team, and across professional functions (e.g., Finance, PD, and Reach and Engagement teams) to activate our community. You will be part of our global Banking team and be based in one of our approved footprint locations in the Americas or Europe region.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Fluency with Excel, both working with the tool and drawing so-whats which lead to actionable decisions
  • Familiarity with McKinsey style PowerPoint, Tableau, PowerBI, etc. a plus
  • Great English communication skills; written and verbal
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, and ability to synthesize so-whats
  • Ability to multitask against tight deadlines and under pressure. Deal with ambiguity
  • Highly collaborative across various working styles and contexts
  • Excellent independent work management skills and an ability to structure work
  • Interest in or knowledge of the banking industry an advantage but not required
  • Professional behavior that consistently supports our Firm’s mission, values, and guiding principles
