Job Description

Assembles, analyzes for completeness and prepares documentation on deficiencies of medical records.

Job Responsibility

  • Assembles medical records according to a predetermined format.
  • Analyzes medical records for completeness of documentation in accordance with policies, JCAHO and NYS Department of Health requirements.
  • Assigns documentation deficiencies to responsible physicians by inputting into a computerized chart completion system.
  • Performs related duties, as required.
  • ADA Essential Functions

Job Qualification

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year related work experience, required.
  • Knowledge of medical record department and medical record science, required.
  • Knowledge of Medical terminology through the completion of a medical record certificate program or work related experience, required.
  • Data entry experience, required.
