About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to lead and manage Pharmacy Unscripted, our SharePoint-based website that supports our healthcare professionals in their continuous professional development, learning and development and professional knowledge. Working as part of our Nottingham-based Store Communications team, the Site Editor will be responsible for ensuring that the site is up to date and well-maintained with high quality content that reflects the core priorities of the site and meets business needs. To achieve this, the Site Editor will work and partner with the content owners and authors across the business to ensure Pharmacy Unscripted is a valuable resource for our healthcare colleagues and meets their professional needs.

Key responsibilities

As Site Editor, you'll be responsible and accountable for keeping the website content plan up to date. Working with the content owners, you'll ensure there is a regular pipeline of content that reflects the core priorities and purpose of Pharmacy Unscripted.

Collaborating with the healthcare subject matter experts from across our organisation, you'll ensure the integrity of the site is maintained to provide the best user experience for our healthcare colleagues.

You'll also maintain the various site libraries and ensuring the right banner images and multimedia content such has videos and podcasts have been embedded correctly and play on the page.

It will be your responsibility to ensure the governance of the site including that content author guidelines and publishing workflows are being adhered to.

You'll also create site usage analytics and reports, regularly check and act on the results to improve usage, including making recommendations to Content Owners on any changes in approach.

Finally, you'll provide SharePoint Online support/training to content owners when required.

What you'll need to have

  • Expert knowledge of all aspects of working with a Microsoft SharePoint CMS
  • A background or knowledge of the healthcare business unit
  • Experience managing content, with a passion for visual as well as written communication
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Expertise in Excel, numeracy and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills
  • A commitment to delivering results and championing best practice and continual improvement
