Support our Nordic US entity and global organization with general ledger accounting. Strong focus on ASC 606 revenue recognition and ongoing revenue analysis. Assist accounting team with month end close and year end audit.
Key Responsibilities
- ASC 606 – Revenue Recognition
- Ongoing revenue analysis.
- Assist in identifying ways to improve the current process as the company continues to grow.
- Review customer contracts to identify proper revenue treatment.
- Prepare and book journal entries in compliance with current revenue recognition standard.
- Partner with Sales and Business Intelligence Teams to ensure monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue number are complete and accurate.
- Month End Close
- Contribute in monthly financial close, with a strong focus on revenue recognition.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of all requested balance sheet accounts including, but not limited to accounts receivable, contract assets, advances, due to/from accounts, contract liabilities, and all other accrued expenses.
- Audit
- Assist in preparation for annual financial statement audit and periodic bank audits; ensure appropriate support for all financial information reflected in general ledger.
- Other
- Occasional preparation of technical accounting memorandums.
- Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements through reconciliation, validation, and data analysis.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from accredited college or university preferred and 3-4 years of accounting work experience. Bachelor’s degree in Finance will be considered with requisite accounting work experience.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and finance concepts.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel and Word.
- Strong intuitive and analytic/problem-solving skills
- Workday software experience preferred.
