Job Summary:
Manages the daily operations of volunteer services and guest relations.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruits, interviews, promotes, disciplines, and terminates staff. Sets performance standards, goals for direct reports and the department. Evaluates and counsels staff on their performance. Monitors workload statistics to ensure appropriate staffing levels. Provides for the education needs of the staff.
- Develops specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
- Implements strategy for volunteer recruitment and training. Determines the qualifications and competence of volunteer personnel. Implements protocols for when no volunteers can be obtained.
- Oversees resources to support quality patient care, program service delivery, and safety.
- Responsible for management functions including activities related to staffing such as recruitment, hiring, performance evaluation, and compensation determination.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
EXPERIENCE
- Three years' experience, with one year in leadership
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Rare climbing.
