Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant – Oracle DBA Exadata

Responsibilities

Participate in week-end, Rotational On-Call & Holiday coverages

Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support

Setup and maintain documentation and standards

Design, Installation, configuration, patching and upgrading of database server software and related products

Establish and maintain sound recovery and backup policies and procedures

Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges) and assist junior team members

Ensure data integrity and availability

Establish and execute periodic disaster recovery testing

Performance management, and tuning

Database management, monitoring, and maintenance

Capacity planning, Database security, and encryption

Evaluation of database features and database related products

Database administration for Oracle on premise and in cloud

Manage Oracle Exadata environments on-prem and OCI, including coordinating with Platinum support and coordination with application owners on quarterly patching activities

Work on other projects as assigned from time-to-time

Experience on Oracle RAC - Exadata production DBA activities at Sr level Installs configures and administers database management clustered systems utilities and tools

Experience with managing Oracle Exadata environments both On-Prem and in Cloud

Experience with Oracle database products such as Real Application Clusters (RAC), Active Data Guard, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM13C)

Extensive experience with Database troubleshooting to identify root cause

Proven ability to work business requirements into solutions that map to technology capabilities and integration with existing infrastructure

Good understanding of ITIL/ITSM principles in managing operational service delivery

Demonstrate ability and experience in working with vendors and service providers.

Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills, and advanced problem-solving orientation and decision-making skills Proven ability to develop, present and justify positions to all levels within the company.

Excellent knowledge management, process management, and documentation skills including architecture diagrams

Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and production incidents simultaneously

Work within a team environment, manage systems, lead upgrades, coordinate installs and work from a ticketing queue

Good knowledge of Database security issues and ability to design and implement security measures.

Experience managing Exadata X8-M (or higher) using Oracle 12c and Higher with RAC

Experience with managing multiple OLTP/VLDB DW Databases on Exadata

Self-motivated, quick learner

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

Experience with Oracle Golden Gate

Experience with Database recovery and backup using any 3rd party tools or ZDLRA

Ability to automate mundane Database tasks

Experience in disaster recovery solutions and testing.

Database performance tuning, and capacity planning experience

Good knowledge and understanding of the ITIL process

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

Bachelor's Degree required

Very good written and presentation / verbal communication skills with experience of customer interfacing role. In-depth requirement understanding skills with good analytical and problem solving ability, interpersonal efficiency, and positive attitude
