The Continuous Improvement Manager, will be responsible for leading and managing process improvement initiatives across all departments at the York campus, including Sales, Applications, Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality, Safety, Service, and Aftermarket Spares. This role aims to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall quality and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the Continuous Improvement Manager will manage a small team of individuals to support these initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with the company’s strategic goals
  • Analyzing and understanding processes in various departments, identifying areas of waste or inefficiency
  • Developing and executing improvement strategies, including change management activities
  • Leading and facilitating cross-functional project teams
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement projects
  • Implement new operational efficiency initiatives
  • Conducting continuous improvement training and workshops for staff at all levels
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and making necessary adjustments
  • Using a range of tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Kaizen to drive process improvements
  • Maintaining reports of continuous improvement activities and presenting progress to senior management
  • Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement within the organization
  • Working closely with other managers and stakeholders to ensure that changes are implemented smoothly and efficiently
  • Other related duties as determined

Your Profile / Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: 5+ years related experience in process improvement, lean manufacturing, or a related field. Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Proven work experience as a Continuous Improvement Manager or similar role
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Strong project management skills
  • Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred.
  • Experience with blueprints and diagrams preferred.

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $85,100.00 - $107,000.00 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.

The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
