We are looking for a Junior Fullstack Engineer with curiosity, a learning mindset, and an interest in building world-class user experiences to join our Front Pages Team.

Who we are:

Our democracies depend on independent journalism - and that’s what we support through technology. The Front Pages Team is part of Schibsted’s Product organization. We create and maintain the landing pages for all of Schibsted’s media brands - the first impression for our readers, and a critical part of how we deliver impactful news at scale.

What we do:

We design and build the most visible surfaces of our digital products. Our front pages bring together dynamic content, editorial storytelling, and solid engineering to support how readers engage with and navigate the news.

We work closely with teams across product, design, editorial, and data. As a team, we support continuous learning through code reviews, pair programming, regular hackathons, and dedicated time for self-driven development (every second Friday).

Our Tech Stack:

We mostly use JavaScript / TypeScript in our products.

Technologies you’ll encounter include:

  • Frontend: React, TypeScript, Astro (nice to have, not required)
  • Backend: Node.js
  • Infrastructure & Tooling: GitHub, GitHub Actions, AWS (Lambda, S3, CloudFront, SNS/SQS)

We value strong engineering practices including automated testing, accessibility, and continuous delivery.

About You:

We are looking for a junior fullstack engineer who wants to grow their skills by working on high-impact, user-facing products.

  • You have a good foundation in JavaScript (we use React, Node.js, and TypeScript).
  • You’re interested in modern web performance, scalability, and building for cross-browser compatibility.
  • You are familiar with, or motivated to learn concepts like caching, unit tests and continuous deployment.
  • Experience with Astro is a plus, but absolutely not required.
  • You enjoy collaborating with others and are open to feedback and learning from more experienced colleagues.
  • You’re curious about how technology can help deliver better news experiences to users.

As a member of our team, you will be part of a supportive, inclusive, and fun environment built on mutual trust, continuous learning, and real ownership of what we build.

What we offer:

  • A team culture that puts learning and growth at the center - we dedicate 10% of our time (every second Friday) to skill-building, collaboration, and experimentation.
  • A flexible work setup that supports both focus time and collaboration, with hybrid working as the norm.
  • The chance to work on high-impact products used across leading media brands in the Nordics.
