About this role:

As a Dealer Finance Account Manager, you will join the DriveON Dealer Finance team, working to expand our Ontario Dealership network. By building strong relationships with Dealerships in surrounding markets, the successful individual will bring a business development mindset, coupled with a competitive finance program and expert back-office support to help you grow the business at Meridian. This role reports to the Director, Mobile Mortgage & Broker Sales, and will support with business growth in a designated market area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that vehicle loan applicants receive lending solutions that effectively meet their needs and their capacity for vehicle debt.
  • Render sound credit decisions adhering to DriveON guidelines.
  • Accurately document all lending products.
  • Develop and maintain trusted business relationships with Dealer Principals and their teams of Finance Managers.
  • Remain well-informed of market and competitor information to ensure the DriveON program is properly positioned in the marketplace and provides a top-tier level of service to Dealers, Finance Managers, and their customers.

Education, Designations, Training, and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of consumer credit adjudication experience, preferably in Dealer Finance.
  • Previous experience in sales, account management and/or business development roles, related to the automotive industry is an asset.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven collaborative & team-work skills.
  • A high degree of risk management knowledge, ensuring a balance of opportunity, growth, and profitability.
  • Superior attention to detail and strong time management skills.
  • A growth mindset - always seeking new business opportunities and comfortable with networking & making new contacts.
