Coeur Mining, Inc. is a well-diversified growing precious metals producer with five operations in North America. Coeur’s wholly owned operations include the Palmarejo and Las Chispas gold-silver mines in Mexico, the Rochester silver-gold mine in Nevada, the Kensington gold mine in Alaska, the Wharf gold mine in South Dakota and the Silvertip silver-zinc-lead mine in British Columbia. Coeur is actively seeking a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to be based at our headquarters in Chicago. This position will report to the Director, FP&A. The position will be responsible for strategic planning, financial modeling, forecasting, business partnering as well as due diligence and business development activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Own the full FP&A cadence — monthly review and analysis of actual results versus forecast, annual budget, quarterly forecasts and the life-of-mine plan — consolidating site and corporate results and translating them into clear insights for the CFO and executive team.
  2. Provide strategic direction in financial planning and decision support by building / maintaining metric-driven models that evaluate profitability, cost drivers, productivity and capital-allocation trade-offs.
  3. Prepare and present executive-ready dashboards, scenario-based outlooks (commodity price, FX, throughput, recovery) and Board materials that highlight the risks, opportunities and ROI of key initiatives, including potential mergers and acquisitions.
  4. Partner with Operations, Mine Planning, Corporate Development and Investor Relations to link operational KPIs to financial outcomes, proactively surfacing value-creation ideas and cost-saving actions.
  5. Lead the financial evaluation and due-diligence modelling of growth projects, joint ventures and M&A opportunities, including sensitivity analysis and post-investment performance tracking.
  6. Champion continuous improvement of FP&A processes and systems—driving automation, standardization and adoption of advanced analytics to shorten cycle times and improve data integrity.
  7. Serve as finance business partner on ad-hoc projects and site reviews, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and internal controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Economics; MBA, CPA, CMA or CFA strongly preferred.
  • Approx 7-10 years of FP&A/finance experience— leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling; mining, natural resources, financial services, investment banking background preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and financial-modeling skills; proficiency with an enterprise planning platform (Oracle/Hyperion) and BI/visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities and navigating ambiguity while maintaining rigorous attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with income statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets
  • Excellent presentation abilities; comfortable translating complex data into clear business narratives for non-finance audiences.
  • Strong business acumen in capital-project economics (sustaining vs. growth capex, NAV, IRR, ROIC).
  • Demonstrated mastery of budgeting, long-range planning, variance analysis and scenario modelling

The salary range offered for this role is USD $120,000-$130,000 range. The salary range is a good-faith estimate. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Coeur Mining will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Coeur Mining.
