HOW WILL YOU MAKE CHANGE HAPPEN?

North Highland are currently working with a tier 1 retail client in Central London. You will join an existing North Highland team and primarily look to align the global operating model (people, process, system) to an emergent, refreshed sourcing strategy for own brand product, which could include any shifts in where products are sourced from between countries and potentially move the retailer's presence into or out of existing regions and count of existing regions and countries.

The driver of the project is predominantly margin, i.e. how can the retailer source own brand products in the most effective way possible and ensure that it has the right operating model to do so. Pay costs and opportunities to reduce will also be a factor in dictating the right model overall.

  • Ensure the workstream is set up for success
  • Project Manage supporting business lead in UK & then leaders out in Asia as well as wider delivery team
  • Manage Risks, Issues and Dependencies
  • Provide regular status updates as per governance model
  • Manage finances within this project and ensure they are fed in and reflected in the financing

YOU WILL NEED

  • Experience in dealing with changes being made across different countries, ideally with expertise across Asia
  • Background in delivering change in sourcing operations, familiarity in Buying, Merchandising
  • Background in delivery of organisational change in a breadth of employment law jurisdictions would be advantageous
  • Retail experience essential

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Design, general merchandise would be advantageous

Duration: Initial 3-6 months Inside IR35 contract

Working pattern: Hybrid – 1-2 days in the London office
