Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.
Full Time Car Wash Installation Technician 4: Kwik Trip is actively seeking a full time skilled, experienced, and dedicated Car Wash equipment Installer to join our dynamic team. As a Lead Car Wash Installer, the selected individual will play a pivotal role in leading the installs and supporting various Car Wash equipment throughout the states Kwik Trip currently operates in and will be expanding into in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver/unload, assemble, install, and setup of all Car Wash equipment for various projects.
- Provide strong leadership and direction to co-workers and sub-contractors.
- Collaborate and maintain effective communication with coworkers and vendors.
- Program various equipment for a variety of projects, including New Construction, Acquisitions, Reloads, and other capital expenditure projects.
- Troubleshoot issues related to Car Wash systems.
- Provide setup and commissioning support.
- Assist with testing and implementation of new initiatives.
- Assist in training coworkers and vendors as needed.
- Assist with train store co-workers on proper use and maintenance.
- Installation of small signage, and various accessory items to support car wash operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of experience installing Car Wash equipment and systems
- Ability to lead a team and vendors.
- Strong knowledge of various Car Wash Equipment & Systems: Mark VII, Wash World, Tommy, AVW, Peco by Sonny’s, DRB Portal & C-Start payment terminals, Water Treatment Equipment (Water Softeners, Reverse Osmosis Systems, Reclaim Systems), Chemical systems, vacuum systems, etc.
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, building construction practices; ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and control wiring diagrams.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, Adobe Reader, and have the ability to learn new software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to use power and hand tools effectively and safely.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet department & company deadlines.
- Ability to identify and complete tasks without direct supervision.
- Flexibility to travel for work frequently.
- Willingness to work outside normal business hours as required.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
- Willingness to work within OSHA and Kwik Trip safety regulations.
- Willingness to work in a variety of weather temperatures/conditions.
- Willingness to travel 5 days per week.
Work Schedule:
Typically, Monday through Friday daytime hours with frequent overnight stays. This role requires frequent travel. The hours may vary based on the needs/schedules of the Store Engineering Department, with an average work week of approximately 50 hours.
