As a Slitter Operator, you will be responsible for safely loading and unloading mill rolls using the hoist system and accurately packing and labeling finished products. You will perform necessary quality checks and document results, while operating and understanding basic machine controls on at least one type of slitter. The role requires troubleshooting and correcting basic line issues, safely setting razor knives to specified widths, and properly setting up rewind arms and rider rolls. You will also perform basic setup of the edge guide system and troubleshoot problems, maintaining accurate records of operations, downtime, and waste. Adherence to safety rules and policies is crucial, along with performing miscellaneous tasks as directed and maintaining housekeeping.

The work environment consists of a warehouse and production floor that are connected, requiring shifts between both. There are some light odors from adhesives used to bind films. While the facility is not air-conditioned, large fans help maintain reasonable conditions, and water and cold treat stations are provided during hot summer days. The facility is very clean and organized by department, including slitter, thermoforming, and lamination.
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
