Job Title: Concrete Foreman

Job Description

A Concrete Foreman oversees concrete construction projects, leading crews in tasks such as formwork, reinforcement, and concrete placement, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project specifications. This role requires planning, coordinating, and supervising work, managing manpower and resources, and training crew members.

Responsibilities

• Effectively lead, manage, and motivate crews of 3 to 6 individuals.
• Plan and schedule manpower, tools, materials, and equipment needed for projects.
• Assign tasks to crew members, coordinate their work, and ensure timely completion.
• Ensure job sites are safe, adhering to OSHA, MSHA, and other relevant regulations.
• Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications and blueprints.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and crew members.
• Utilize instruments for precise layout, read blueprints and plans, and identify resources, labor, and equipment for efficient project completion.
• Oversee and train new crew members on safe work practices and equipment use.
• Maintain daily logs and timesheets.
• Resolve problems with projects, materials, and workers.

Essential Skills

• Experience in concrete construction and finishing.
• Proficiency with hand tools, concrete forms, pours, and paving.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control.
• Experience with carpentry, rebar, flatwork, masonry, and framing.
• Proficiency in using grinders, power tools, tape measures, and other relevant equipment.
• Knowledge of formwork, slab inspection, and sanding.
• Possession of own construction PPE (hard hat, high visibility vest, steel toe or work boots).

Work Environment

This opportunity is based in Nipomo, CA, performing work throughout Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
