Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are a wire and cable manufacturer serving a diverse range of industries, including military contracting and logistics. We are seeking a dedicated machine operator for our third shift from 10 PM to 6:30 AM. This role involves operating our internally designed automated machinery and performing various tasks throughout the facility. Candidates will be trained on machine setup and operation, focusing on running the printing/rewind machine with opportunities for cross-training.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor automated machinery
  • Set up machinery and set designated raw products for production
  • Emphasize operation of the printing/rewind machine
  • Be open to cross-training in various tasks
  • Engage in physical activities such as pushing, pulling, and lifting
  • Load and unload spools and reels from machinery

Essential Skills

  • Experience in machine operation
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Familiarity with production and assembly processes
  • Proficiency with hand tools, inspection, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools like tape measures and calipers
  • Experience with CNC machinery

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic manufacturing environment that is not climate-controlled and can be fairly loud. Join a team of approximately 45 employees across all shifts, operating unique, internally designed machinery in a supportive and collaborative setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.
