Job Title: Machine Operator I

Job Description

Perform and oversee various refinery plant operational duties within an industrial work environment while monitoring and controlling the refining/processing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor refinery plant equipment and processes according to established procedures and safety protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance on refinery plant equipment and troubleshoot any issues as they arise.
  • Monitor and maintain process parameters, such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, and chemical concentrations, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor and control refinery plant emissions to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Communicate with other plant personnel and management to coordinate activities and ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including operating logs, maintenance records, and safety reports.
  • Participate in training and development programs to maintain and improve skills.

Work Environment

Work within the world's largest oil re-refinery, handling products such as KLEEN+ RHT70, RHT120, and RHT240 Base Oils, Industrial Fuels, VTAE. The facility includes a lubricants blending area with a 30M GPY capacity, railcar & trailer wash, re-refining, blending, testing, and staging. Process waste oil into high-quality lubricating oils and other products in accordance with ISO 9001 standards. The schedule rotates every two weeks, working from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., with a work cycle of 15 days out of 30.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Chicago, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
