Production Supervisor in Spring Hill, TN 37174

Job Description

You will be responsible for the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment. You will participate in the training, development, and evaluation of hourly team members, and lead the development of highly effective teams. You will oversee Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes and serve as a resource supporting launch and pilot activities in assigned areas. Your role includes meeting or exceeding production cost schedules while maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment.
  • Participate in the training, development, and evaluation of hourly team members.
  • Lead the development of highly effective teams.
  • Oversee Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes.
  • Support launch and pilot activities in assigned areas.
  • Meet or exceed production cost schedules and maintain quality standards.
  • Communicate department quality goals and leverage resources to solve quality issues.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with employees, union, and management.
  • Administer the National and Local Agreements consistently.
  • Implement systems that prevent reoccurrence of known issues.
  • Promote safe work practices and achieve objectives for ergonomics, health and safety, and housekeeping.
  • Motivate, train, and develop employees to perform their jobs effectively using standardized methods.
  • Ensure team members receive adequate Just-In-Time job instruction training.
  • Apply lean manufacturing/synchronous principles to achieve production schedules and product requirements.
  • Focus on variation reduction, control costs, and achieve productivity improvements.
  • Coach, teach, counsel, and mentor Group Leaders.

Essential Skills

  • 5-7 years of experience in production supervision or production management.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with OEM, Tier 1, or Tier 2 supplier environments.
  • Ability to manage hourly associates.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement, assembly, lean manufacturing, and process improvement.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $40.87/hr.
