Job Title: Quality Inspector - Aft

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to perform receiving, in-process, and final inspection tasks on switches and part orders for shipment. The role involves conducting internal audits, reporting findings, and applying sound judgment to quality-related decisions. You will have the authority to halt non-conforming processes and will communicate drawing discrepancies to Engineering. Participation in customer inspections and prototype reviews is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct receiving inspections as required.
  • Perform in-process and final inspection tasks on switches and part orders.
  • Execute internal process and quality system audits, reporting all findings.
  • Apply sound judgment in making quality-related decisions and problem-solving.
  • Notify relevant personnel and halt non-conforming processes.
  • Communicate drawing discrepancies to Engineering.
  • Participate in customer inspections and prototype reviews.
  • Create and assist in writing and entering NCRs.
  • Assist in evaluating non-conforming components, including dimensional analysis.
  • Write CAR/CIIs for audits and assist employees with corrective actions.
  • Report ISO Standards violations to the Quality Manager.
  • Review supplier documentation, including dimensional analysis, certifications, and SPC data.
  • Develop and maintain necessary documentation and assist in control of documentation.
  • Engage in communication and cooperation with cross-functional teams to meet quality standards and shipment deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years in a quality supervision position.
  • Quality credentials, schooling, and experience.
  • Computer experience and inventory control experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Quality certifications, ASQ.
  • Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with electrical and mechanical products.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Relevant schooling.

Work Environment

You will work on the afternoon shift from 3:15 PM to 11:45 PM, with a $1.00 premium when transitioned to afternoons. Initially, you must be comfortable working 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM until the afternoon shift begins.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Brampton,ON.
