About the Opportunity

The Sr. Manager, Security Operations is the senior representative on the Global Security & Resilience (GSR) Team in the LATAM Territory and holds responsibilities across the entire spectrum of security management. The Sr. MSO is an integral part of the GSR team and is charged with the holistic security and risk management of multiple WeWork markets and locations. This position reports to the Head of Security.

The Senior Manager will be responsible for managing multiple security programs and supporting capabilities within their assigned Territory. They ensure security is fully integrated into broader Facility Operations and long-range plans for new/revised product offerings to members.

The Sr. MSO partners with senior WeWork executives including General Managers and as well as community teams in numerous WeWork spaces across the region. WeWork assets including employees, members and locations are our core clients. The priorities for this role will be enabling new building openings and ensuring the security of established locations. The Sr. MSO also supports training efforts, project execution, and facilitating meetings with local and federal law enforcement.

The Sr. MSO will maintain a regular travel schedule to help weave regional and local security management into the safety and security culture.

Core Duties:

  • Advise multiple General Managers (GM), Facilities Directors (FD) and Area Directors (AD) on all security related needs.
  • Providing leadership and training for the Regional Crisis Management Plan (RCMP) based on the WeWork Core Crisis Management Plan (CCMP). Develop, rehearse and modify all associated security, crisis and emergency plans across the region.
  • Conduct investigations into security incidents at assigned buildings - including interviews, camera review, and appropriate documentation. Collaborate with the global investigations team as required.
  • Conduct routine risk/threat assessments and make recommendations as needed to mitigate risk to our employees, members, assets, and brand.
  • Define, plan, coordinate, drive and execute security upgrades, retrofits, and member requested security projects.
  • Provide security training to community and leadership teams based on GSR requirements.
  • Enforce budgetary compliance as it relates to service at each location.
  • Troubleshoot security problems and assess the need for external service.
  • Support new building openings by providing risk assessments, reviewing design drawings, and ensuring physical security concepts and support are enabled for the site.
  • Position will conduct investigations involving topics such as, but not limited to: assaults, threats, harassment, stalking or unusual interest, fraud, theft, and other property crimes.
  • Manage direct reports (if applicable), take accountability for their performance and motivation.
  • Be available 24/7 for emergency response for your territory.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Security or related.
  • 8+ years of experience managing security operations in a corporate environment or law enforcement background.
  • Proficient in English
  • Availability to work onsite.
  • Emergency management / Crisis management experience in a Corporate setting or at national and state level.
  • Proven leadership and teaching ability in order to train employees across different departments.
  • Understanding of all low voltage technology (CCTV, alarms, access control), preferred, not required.
  • Experience designing security for new buildings or facilities, to include placement of access control systems, cameras, and visitor management systems, conducting risk assessments, and standing up security officers
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts (IP addresses, MAC addresses, VLAN, port assignments).
  • Demonstrated experience managing large scale projects with multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Experience with technical Security applications and service management software.
  • Highly proficient in all Microsoft / Google applications; ability to learn and use new platforms.
  • Experience with Help Desk applications (i.e. Salesforce)
  • Life safety training (CPR, First Aid, Trauma).
  • Be a confident public speaker, with the ability to influence executives and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate a high-level of attention to detail
  • Be able to liaise with external security organizations in a professional manner
