Compensation:

Salary Range: $50,000 - $75,000

Bonus: 10% Target

This position is eligible for overtime compensation.

Job Description

About this job:

The Claims Associate is an integral member of the Claims team who is responsible for claim submission and RFP intake, data preparation, and distribution of outgoing claim documents. This position also supports the team’s reporting needs and coordinates to resolve issues related to claim entry and setup.

About the role:

  • Download claim submissions from emails and FTP sites
  • Enter received claims data into administrative system
  • File documents into and maintain paperless filing system
  • Format and import received claim submissions (claim setup)
  • Prepare and transmit completed claim documents
  • Review and correct items from administrative system edit reports
  • Work closely with clients regarding intake of claim submissions, distribution of outgoing claim documents, and any reporting needs.
  • Record incoming requests for proposal into administrative system
  • Set up external users on FTP site and regularly verify user access
  • Communicate claim information to members of the Claims team as well as other departments including Underwriting and PULSE + Plus™
  • Compile documentation for monthly quality audits
  • Run various daily, weekly, and monthly reports as needed
  • Work closely with other Claims team members to meet required deadlines, business objectives, and client service standards.
  • Assist Claim Managers as needed in training of claims staff with respect to Claims Associate duties.
  • Build and maintain proactive and positive working relationships with PartnerRe Health’s internal and external customers (i.e. clients, brokers, PartnerRe Business Units).
  • Other duties as may be requested by the Claims Management Team.

Qualifications

About you:

  • Demonstrated advanced competency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets with pivot tables, database, and/or macros.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and to operate without close supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required.
