Job Requirements:

High School Degree or GED

Computer literate

1-2 years experience in a related field

Job Responsibilities:

Effectively manages the operation of the dispatch center. Must have effective communication skills. Responsible for dispatching Security Officers to incidents in a timely manner. Completes all security department documentation in a professional manner; this includes complete follow-up and documentation to all reports initiated. Effectively communicate with persons via intercoms and achieve an appropriate outcome. Exhibits professional behavior toward patients, visitors, physicians and other employees and creates a positive impression consistent with professional etiquette.

Prepares for work by reviewing incident reports, logs, bulletin boards, etc on a daily basis. Responsible for filing reports and information in Comm. Center binders and files in a timely manner. Responsible for assisting with issuing agency badges, temporary badges and issuing parking permits and collecting payments. Second and third shift dispatchers communicate with patient areas to determine if persons arriving after regular visiting hours are eligible to visit and dispatches an Officer to deliver a pass as necessary. Responsible for monitoring all security camera equipment and emergency alarms -e.g., burglary, fire and panic alarms- and timely dispatch of Security, Police and Fire Departments. Responsible for issuing Burning/Welding permits and performing fire system adjustments
