Customer Service Representative-Horizons-Full Time

This position provides assistance to clients calling and/or attending services at Horizons Mental Health Center by providing the highest level of customer service.

Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist clients of all ages in successfully accessing mental health services and other community resources.
  • Schedule and reschedule intakes, crisis screens, medication evaluations, psychological testing and competency evaluations with qualified HMHC staff.
  • Complete incoming referrals on the phone and in person.
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate.
  • Maintain walk-in clinic referral list.
  • Manage waiting lists for all clinical and medical staff, effectively backfill cancelled appointments via the waiting lists.
  • Maintain database for tracking outcomes related to access data, volumes of services, etc.
  • Schedule subsequent appointments based on level of care assignment.
  • Collect cash, make change and balance cash drawer.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Moderate to strong skill level in using software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma or equivalent training and experience.
  • General office experience.
  • Previous customer service.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Three to five years medical front office experience and computer training.
  • Special training as a receptionist or at a reservation center.
