Job Title: QA Technician

Job Description

As a QA Technician, you will be responsible for conducting audits, inspections, and corrective actions and problem-solving within a manufacturing environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring quality on the manufacturing floor by guiding leads and ensuring that internal food safety programs and guidelines are strictly followed. Additionally, you will perform sampling and lab testing support as needed to ensure compliance with food safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits, inspections, and corrective actions to ensure compliance with food safety guidelines.
  • Perform sampling and lab testing support when necessary.
  • Guide leads on the manufacturing floor to ensure adherence to internal food safety programs.
  • Conduct quality control checks of raw materials, labels, and finished products.
  • Recommend corrective actions for continuous improvement within the manufacturing process.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Food Engineering, Food Microbiology, or Nutrition Science.
  • 1-3 years of internal audit experience.
  • 1-3 years of GMP experience in a food or flavor manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • HACCP and SQF Certification preferred.

Work Environment

You will work in your own cubicle located both in the office and on the manufacturing floor, reporting directly to the head of food safety. The position requires working the second shift from Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, with flexibility to train on the first shift if needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
