Job Title: Accessioner I

Job Description

As an Accessioner I, you will be responsible for processing and data entry throughout the day. You will start by receiving samples from 6 PM to 10:30 PM, then continue working until all tasks are completed or the shipment goes out. The role involves handling a ready cart to begin processing efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and triage all specimens for clinical testing.
  • Manage clinical information within the LIMS database.
  • Perform internal audits of clinical charts.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure testing accuracy.

Essential Skills

  • Specimen processing and accessioning.
  • High school diploma required.
  • 0-1+ years of 10-key data entry experience.
  • 0-1+ years of experience processing laboratory samples or handling shipping and receiving inventory.
  • 0-1+ years of experience working with blood, urine, or tissue samples.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • AS or BS degree in biological sciences preferred.
  • Attention to accuracy and deadlines.
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced, requiring attention to detail and efficiency in handling laboratory samples and data entry tasks. You will be part of a collaborative team, using various technologies to ensure accuracy and timely completion of tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
