Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Description

The Quality Engineer will ensure compliance with industry and customer standards, leveraging expertise in GD&T, SPC, PPAP, and Measurement Strategy development. This role supports continuous improvement and root cause analysis, leads measurement method selection and gage development, oversees PPAP documentation and validation activities, and engages in customer support, audits, and certifications. Additionally, the Quality Engineer will research new technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with industry and customer standards.
  • Leverage expertise in GD&T, SPC, PPAP, and Measurement Strategy development.
  • Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
  • Lead measurement method selection and gage development.
  • Oversee PPAP documentation and validation activities.
  • Engage in customer support, audits, and certifications.
  • Research new technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Essential Skills

  • Expertise in PPAP, FMEAs, and Corrective Action Plans.
  • Knowledge of QMS systems such as ISO9001 and AS9100.
  • Experience in GD&T and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Statistical process control experience.
  • 5+ years of quality management experience in a regulated environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred (or equivalent).
  • CMM programming and operating experience preferred.
  • 3D scanning experience preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment operates from 8am to 5pm, within a collaborative team consisting of 9 inspectors, 1 document controller, and 1 supervisor. The team focuses on maintaining high standards and efficient practices.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
