Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the Injection Molding Manager and facilitate communication with him regularly. This role is ideal for an engineer looking to expand their hands-on experience in a fast-growing company recently acquired by a larger parent entity. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing production fixtures, managing quality control processes, and sustaining ISO 9001 procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement production fixtures to assist production floor employees.
• Manage internal and molded item quality control rejection disposition.
• Develop and maintain acceptable tolerance limits for molded items.
• Conduct test runs of rubber or components on the molding floor and oversee production implementation as needed.
• Practice and sustain ISO 9001 procedures and policies.
• Initiate continuous improvements within the production process.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent knowledge through work experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or CAD.
• Experience in troubleshooting machine problems.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge in tooling and assembly processes.

Work Environment

The work environment is an industrial warehouse, well-established and expansive. The role involves a mix of 50% floor work and 50% design activities, with minimal travel required to New Jersey. The department operates with a mixture of old and new injection molding machines. Working hours are from 6am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday, totaling a 45-hour workweek with no work on Fridays. The molding department consists of 40 people, with 70 total employees at the plant.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
