As an IT Systems Architect you’ll have the autonomy to lead critical architectural decisions, introduce cutting-edge tools, integrate data and influence the direction of enterprise systems as we move to a GenAI first environment. What you’ll do:

  • Define and lead the technical direction of enterprise IT systems, architecture, and infrastructure.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor across product, security, and operations teams to ensure robust, scalable, and secure solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems performance, reliability, and developer productivity through automation and modernization.
  • Oversee complex systems integrations, cloud migrations, and data-as-code initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks in line with long-term IT strategy.
  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis for major technical issues, ensuring learning and resilience.
  • Mentor IT engineers and administrators to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

What will you need to have?

  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or related fields with at least 3 years in a principal or architect-level role.
  • Proven expertise in designing and deploying complex enterprise systems, preferably in hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong background in automation, DevOps principles, and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of networking, security principles, identity management, and enterprise-grade system monitoring.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills with experience influencing technical strategy across departments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience.

Extra great if you have:

  • Experience with open source software
  • Familiarity with ITIL and Agile frameworks
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CIAM, Azure/AWS Security, or equivalent.
  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g., SOX, PCI, GDPR).
  • Background in identity governance and compliance tooling.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and infrastructure-as-code for IAM.

The estimated gross base annual salary range for this role is $160,000 – $195,000 per year in New York, California, Washington, Colorado, and Rhode Island. Actual compensation may vary and is dependent on various factors, including a candidate’s work location, qualifications, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of Redis’ total compensation and competitive benefits package, which may include 401(k), unlimited time off, learning and development opportunities, and comprehensive health and wellness benefits. This role may include discretionary bonuses, stock options, commuter benefits based on location, or a commission plan. Salary history is not used in compensation package decisions. Redis utilizes market pay data to determine compensation, so posted compensation ranges are subject to change as new market data becomes available.
