Senior HR Consultant

What You'll Do: Leads consultative services and support for human resource issues and initiatives which impacts leaders and teammates to help foster a healthy and productive workplace. Makes recommendations for the development, design, and roll out of programs and initiatives. Serves as a subject matter expert on policies, procedures, and fundamentals of all core areas of human resources for teammates and leaders within an academic medical center.

  1. Advises and counsels leaders and teammates on workplace related matters, including interpreting and applying HR policies.
  2. Conducts prompt and thorough investigations into reported concerns that may violate HR policies.
  3. Supports leaders and teammates through the performance management process.
  4. Manages an assigned case load for employee relations concerns.
  5. Leads team huddles and participates in planning agenda for team meetings as needed.
  6. Identifies implements and evaluates goals and objectives for division area in conjunction with leader.
  7. Serves as a project leader and functions in a leadership role within the department.
  8. Coordinates and collaborates across divisions on various projects, tasks and programs that impact business objectives.
  9. Acts as an expert on policies, procedures, employment law, and fundamentals of all core areas of HR.
  10. Leads assigned projects and programs by creating and executing project work plans.
  11. Provides HR team leadership in the absence of the Leader.
  12. Provides day-to-day operations of HR in support of the business in the assigned division.
  13. Provides consultative and functional support to assigned HR divisions.
  14. Analyzes internal and external metrics to assess organizational effectiveness and recommends changes to positively impact the System.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 10 years of experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
  • 5 years of related experience required.
  • 2 years of experience in Human Resources preferred.
  • HR certification (i.e., CCP, PHR, SPHR or CEBS) preferred based on role.
